GCSE Geography – This course aims to make sense of the world in which we live. Students will study what shapes our world and how and why we should look after it sustainably. Four units will be studied over the course:
- Rivers and coasts
- Population and settlement
- Natural hazards
- Economic development
- Two controlled assessments make up 25% of the qualification.
- The decision making paper will be taken in the summer of Year 10 and counts as 25% of the GCSE.
- One final paper will be taken in the summer of Year 11 and counts as the final 50% of the GCSE qualification.
